Terms and Conditions – Manor Podiatry

These Terms and Conditions explain how Manor Podiatry provides its podiatry services and outline the responsibilities of both the practitioner and the client. By arranging an appointment or receiving treatment, you confirm that you accept these Terms.

Our Services

Manor Podiatry provides professional mobile podiatry and foot health services within designated local areas. Treatments are carried out in the client’s home by a podiatrist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Services may include:

General podiatry treatment

Nail cutting and nail care

Corn and hard skin management

Diabetic foot screening

Foot pain and mobility assessment

Musculoskeletal foot assessments

Advice regarding foot health and footwear

Services are provided by appointment only and are intended for non-emergency care. Manor Podiatry does not offer emergency or hospital-based treatment.

Booking Appointments

Appointments can be booked online, by telephone, or by email.

 

New clients may be asked to complete:

A medical history questionnaire

Consent documentation

Contact information forms

These forms must be completed before treatment can proceed.

 

Appointment Changes and Cancellations

Clients are asked to provide at least 48 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

Where insufficient notice is given, the booking deposit may be retained or a cancellation fee may apply.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in future bookings being declined.

If access to the property is not possible at the agreed appointment time, the appointment may be treated as unattended.

In rare circumstances, Manor Podiatry may need to rearrange appointments due to illness, severe weather, travel disruption, or unforeseen circumstances.

Fees and Payment

Treatment fees will be discussed at the time of booking or consultation.

Payment is due at the time of the appointment unless agreed otherwise in advance. Card payments and electronic payment methods are accepted.

Outstanding balances may be pursued where payment has not been made within a reasonable timeframe.

Medical Information and Consent

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date medical information, including details of:

Existing medical conditions

Medication

Allergies

Circulatory conditions

Infections or relevant health concerns

By proceeding with treatment, clients confirm that they understand the proposed care and consent to treatment being provided.

Although treatments are carried out with professional care and clinical judgement, outcomes can vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

 

Manor Podiatry reserves the right to postpone or refuse treatment where it is considered clinically unsuitable or unsafe.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

Follow aftercare advice where appropriate

Treat staff respectfully at all times

 

Safety and Professional Standards

All treatments are carried out in accordance with professional podiatry standards and infection control procedures.

This includes:

Hand hygiene practices

Use of appropriate PPE where necessary

Sterilised or single-use instruments

Safe handling and disposal of clinical waste

Clients should inform Manor Podiatry in advance if there are any infectious illnesses or significant health concerns relevant to the appointment.

 

Unacceptable Behaviour

Manor Podiatry operates a zero-tolerance approach towards aggressive, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour.

Appointments may be ended immediately if behaviour places staff wellbeing or safety at risk.

 

Clinical Records and Confidentiality

Client records are maintained securely and confidentially in accordance with UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Information collected may be used for:

Clinical record keeping

Appointment management

Communication regarding treatment

Legal and professional obligations

Records may be stored electronically using secure healthcare software providers.

Information will not normally be shared without consent unless there is a legal obligation or safeguarding concern.

Records are retained in accordance with professional and regulatory guidance.

Photographs and Clinical Documentation

With permission, photographs may occasionally be taken for clinical monitoring or record-keeping purposes. Any images will form part of the confidential clinical record.

Liability

Manor Podiatry aims to provide treatment to a high professional standard. However, we are not responsible for:

Issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate medical information

Delays caused by circumstances outside reasonable control

Risks associated with unsafe treatment environments

Damage or loss unrelated to negligence

Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted by law.

We welcome feedback and aim to resolve concerns promptly and professionally.

Clients may also seek advice from relevant professional or regulatory organisations, including the HCPC.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may occasionally be updated to reflect changes in services, legal obligations, or professional guidance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
