Paraffin Wax (Warm Wax) Therapy

Therapeutic paraffin wax treatment for hydration, comfort and circulation

Paraffin wax therapy - also known as warm wax treatment - is a soothing and therapeutic foot care option offered at Manor Podiatry. We use medical-grade paraffin wax applied in a controlled clinical setting to gently warm and treat the soft tissues of the feet.

This treatment can be particularly beneficial for improving skin condition, relieving stiffness, and promoting circulation in the feet.

What we treat

Our paraffin wax therapy may help with:

Dry, rough or cracked skin that hasn’t responded to moisturisers

Stiff joints and mild joint discomfort

Circulatory discomfort such as cold feet

Sore muscles or soft tissue tension

Preparing the feet for further podiatry procedures (e.g. callus softening before skin care)

Your assessment

Before providing paraffin wax therapy, we’ll assess your foot health and medical history to ensure the treatment is suitable. Paraffin wax therapy is not recommended for everyone - for example, it may be unsuitable if you have open wounds, sensory loss, or significant vascular conditions.

How it works

At your appointment:

We begin with a full foot health check and a routine podiatry treatment.

A layer of warmed paraffin wax is applied using a clinical disposable brush or disposable liners.

The wax is removed, leaving moisturising benefits to the skin.

Benefits of paraffin wax therapy

Paraffin wax has both therapeutic and cosmetic benefits, including:

Improved blood circulation and warmth to the feet

Deep skin hydration and softening

Relaxation of muscles and joints

Enhanced comfort for dry or cracked skin

A calming, restorative experience in a clinical setting

Our clinical stance

We provide paraffin wax therapy as part of a modern podiatry clinic: evidence-informed, hygienic, and delivered with patient comfort in mind. If paraffin wax treatment is not the best option for your feet, we will discuss alternative therapies tailored to your needs.
