Ingrowing Toenails and Nail Surgery

Relief from painful, infected, or recurring ingrown toenails

People often assume an ingrown toenail will “work itself out,” or that removing a small piece of nail at home will fix it. But repeated minor trauma can worsen the issue, cause infection, or lead to chronic inflammation.

We offer both conservative management and permanent solutions through minor surgical procedures done under local anaesthetic.

What causes ingrown toenails?

  • Nail shape
  • Footwear pressure
  • Trauma or sport
  • Previous infection
  • Poor nail-cutting technique
  • Genetic predisposition
